Hello!

I am going to purchase the universal binary version of this game when it becomes available, and have to say that I really love the "retro" graphics options...very cool. I do have one big request...could you PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make an option to play the original version of the music? The Commodore 64 version alone would be very cool to play the game with!!! Even if I had to track down the music files myself, it would be great if there was a way to easily add them to the game. Please don't think that I don't like the new music, but the original definiently had a warm place in my heart and playing the game without it seems wrong.

Keep up the great work, you're awesome!!!!

Hello again!

I found the sound folder in the resources...can I just swap out the files with different ones, or will that mess up the program?

Thanks!!!

I don't think Ultima III will ever ship with easy user-switchable music, but you can go into the embedded Music folder and replace any of the files with other .mov files. These are just QuickTime-wrapped audio files, so you could conceivably create a replacement from an MP3 or WAV (or whatever) by opening it in QuickTime Player and then saving it back out. That'll create a .mov file which will do the trick.

You should be able to change or remove anything in the Sounds folder, in this case most any sound format should just work despite the fact that they are all initially WAVs.
