Running SongSergant, but still end up with over 1000 dupes

When I use dupe check under Itunes file, it finds over 1000 dupes. Many are not from different albums, Same files. What is the issue?

I am guessing that you mean that when Song Sergeant scans your library it now finds no duplicates, yet the primitive "Show Duplicates" command in iTunes finds over 1000?

If that is indeed what you mean, I would suspect that Song Sergeant may have been directed to the wrong iTunes library xml file. I would suggest going to Song Sergeant's Preferences, Misc section, and clicking the Defaults button in order to let SS do what it does by default: locates what is most likely the correct iTunes library xml file itself.

Please let us know what happens.
