MPFreaker 1.1b6 available for testing

If you're looking for version of MPFreaker that works properly under Tiger or your preferred language is French, you'll be interested in this. There are a large number of other changes since 1.0 which will be detailed when the beta testing finishes. Hopefully this will be the last v1.1 beta. Once ag...

Related to Yoda, you must be.

This should not be a problem. MPFreaker copes with reversed artist name order both in your songs and in the online databases it references.

Ultima III OS X Native

It seems to run in Classic, but I can't access any of the "invisible" menus! The screen flashes for a moment, but no menu becomes visible, so there's no clean way for me to quit that I know of. You should be able to move the mouse to the top of the screen to make the menu bar appear, and it should ...

MPFreaker 1.0 and Tiger

Thanks to helpful MPFreaker users, we have fixed this problem for the next version. There are also a lot of architectural changes we've made to ensure more consistency with what iTunes displays, and improved handling of music files for those few who rarely or never use iTunes. Unfortunately, these c...

iTunes misbehavior

The program doesn't work on some of my songs on my G5 running the latest iTunes but if I change the id tag of the song using iTunes to ver 1.0 for instance all of the sudden the program works on that song. How could that insignificant change mean the difference between the program working or not an...

Can't mount disk image

It sounds like either your download was interrupted, or the .bin decoding was interrupted. In either case, it's simplest to just trash what you've downloaded and try again.

That isn't particularly impatient :-/

MPFreaker has been ready for 1.0 for quite a while now, I have just overwhelmed with other things. I do intend to get back in the saddle soonly.

BPM & crashing

If anyone finds an online database of BPMs, I would happily code support for it into MPFreaker. Crashing: Anyone who experiences any kind of crash in MPFreaker is strongly encouraged to e-mail their MPFreaker crash log file to me at beastie@lairware.com. You can find it at your-home-folder/Library/L...

Re: Freaker retrieves incorrect info

Without debugging through the exact process you went through, it's difficult to be 100% certain, but I'm pretty certain that this sort of effect would be the result of using "Song Title" set to Overwrite. If you had "Allow partial matches" turned on, the problem can be even worse; here's a sample sc...

Re: Changing Source for MP3 Tag retrieval?

I have several albums where the song title doesn't match the actual song and its been my past experience that I can select different sources for obtaining the actual MP3 Tag information. Is this possible to do in the MPFreaker application? If so, please advise. If you have improperly titled songs b...
