Re: Crash

Im Having The Same Problem ...... What Do I Do? Please send in a crash report to ultima@lairware.com. Any time an app crashes on your computer, the system makes a report and stores it in a folder within your home directory. You can find them within Library / Logs in either the CrashReporter or Diag...

Very little of these are known problems

The only known issue I can point out is that when MPFreaker's preferences have "Write MP3 ID3 v2.4 tags as:" set to "Proper specification format", iTunes is likely to have trouble reading the artwork and lyrics embedded in MP3 tracks using ID3v2.4 tags. That's why "iTunes-compatible format" is the d...

Re: Hang on startup

I've had this happen to me during testing a few times but couldn't figure out the cause. I'll try poking the keyboard early on to see if that does it for me, too.

Thanks for the bug report!

Not a known problem

rygreen, this isn't a known problem so if you could pretty please email your crash log file to ultima@lairware.com, we can look into it.

On 10.5.x you can find your crash logs within (home directory) / Library / Logs / CrashReporter.

Ultima III 2.1 released

Ultima III 2.1 is here: Improved standard graphics to be smoother, with nice shadows. Added polygoncount's Ultima V tileset. Fixed a bug that caused some fonts to not be usable. Fixed bug where wearing non-Exotic armor in Exodus Castle didn't mean you were automatically hit. Fixed bug so that armour...

Stuff

I had no idea, so I had to try it out in an Apple II emulator -- yup, you could successfully Appar Unum a chest whilst in combat on the original, too. A hopefully complete list of things that change after you beat Exodus: Some are possibly things added after 2.0 came out, in which case they'll be in...

Indeed.

It's the same on the Apple II version. Think of it as managing to mount and tame enough horses for your party, but the rest of the wild horses attack you when the powder wears off ...

Diagnosis

After working with another user experiencing apparently the same problem, it looks like this is an issue with iTunes not always indicating to 3rd party software where the iTunes Media (or iTunes Music) folder is located. We've worked around this problem to handle it more gracefully. Until Song Serge...

Re: Masking with custom tileset

Yup, I can reproduce both issues.

A lot of other tweaks have accrued over the past 4 years (!) so I'll work on fixing these issues and getting out a new release in the near future.

Re: MPFreaker stuck on reading directory

First, to get MPFreaker working: It is strange that after using something like CleanMyMac that MPFreaker continues to start up wanting to read a directory. By default, MPFreaker should be loading your iTunes library. You may want to manually go into your (home directory) / Library / Preferences fol...

Printing from Song Sergeant

I'm afraid that Song Sergeant doesn't have any printing capability. The best you could manage would be to maximize the Song Sergeant window to fill the screen and then take screenshots: ⇧⌘3 (shift-command-3) will capture everything on your screen to a file on your Desktop. ⇧⌘4 will put you in a mode...

Script fixed

The method the script was using to compare iTunes versions was doomed to fail when iTunes hit 10. I've removed the version check (who is running iTunes 3 or earlier now?) and put it back up at the same location.

Resolved

This issue was resolved through email. In this case the issue was that one's "User Name" needs to be entered in the LairWare software's Register window exactly as it is shown in the "Thanks for your purchase" plain-text email from Kagi for the license code to be accepted. Other HTML-based email that...
