FREEDB?

Post by Stegosaur » Thu Sep 11, 2008 12:26 am

:?

Why not MusicBrainz support instead of the so much more disorganized and less reliable FREEDB?

We do use TrackType, if that's what you mean by FreeDB.

The API which MusicBrainz uses was in transition the last time we considered them. Their XMLWebService looks mature now, so you can bet it will show up in MPFreaker in the not-so-distant future.

Just been reading up on MusicBrainz, seems to be very active... any plans on sourcing data from the musicbrainz db?

MPFreaker using MusicBrainz would be nice.

MusicBrainz "Picard" is currently a ridiculous 132 MB application! That's bigger than Aperture or DVD Studio Pro! iTunes is only 148 MB!
