Feature Request: Bulk Edit Tags

Post by jcampbell76 » Wed Jan 28, 2009 4:41 am

Unless I have missed something, it would be really fantastic if you could bulk change a tag and/or replace tag text. MPF does a good job of populating missing fields, but when you need human intervention to clean up an album name or band name to get recognition to work (in some cases), it would be nice to have a few features to aid this...

- Bulk change a tag to a certain value
- Apply word-caps to tags
- Strip/replace from tags
- Allow enumeration of tracks and be able to set xx 'of xx' more easily (same with disc # of #)

It would keep me from having to use other tools. Thanks!

I too would like to see this feature. It would be especially useful for cleaning up things like genre (which as we all know has its flaws), and the compilation checkboxes.

Thanks!

iTunes does this just fine. Is there something I'm missing?

Select tracks you want to affect in iTunes, hit cmd-I, change them.
