Crashing with registration screen open

Post by Cantello » Thu Oct 06, 2011 11:28 am

I just wanted to try out MPFreaker as I am currently looking for an app to btach-search for lyrics for my MP3 collection.

Somehow, when opening MPF, the registration window opened and nothing else happened, I could not click cancel, could not enter any registration details, nor coudl work with the programme.

Did I miss something here?

Runnin OSX 10.7.1 on an iMac.

iTunes being completely unresponsive

Post by beastie » Fri Oct 07, 2011 1:32 am

Cantello was kind enough to send in diagnostic information to help track this down. What was discovered may be of use to anyone else experiencing a problem like this, until we can get a new version of MPFreaker available with a fix.

I can see that MPFreaker is trying to talk to iTunes, but for some reason iTunes is being completely unresponsive.

If one is encountering this problem, one could in the mean time use MPFreaker without iTunes running. When it asks, one would need to turn off the "Identify artwork downloaded by iTunes" feature to keep it from being annoying.

Indeed, running MPF without iTunes did solve the problem, thanks for the quick help! :-)
