Registered users receive free upgrades to any future 1.x...

"Registered users receive free upgrades to any future 1.x versions."

Does this mean I should wait to buy MPFreaker since the 1.8 version is out for beta testing already?

I would really like to buy it, and be able to scan more than three songs without restarting the program.

It says the same thing on 1.7.6. Register it now and you'll get free upgrades up until 2.0 comes out, whenever that is. Your registration code will work on all pre-2.0 versions, beta or not.

It seems I picked the wrong words to express myself. What I meant was that since 1.8 is coming soon (right?), 2.0 is even closer. I guess everyone will have to pay to get a valid 2.0 license.

Does that make buying this program now, the same as buying a newspaper just a few hours before the next days newspaper is available in the shop?

Runar, I can tell you that MPFreaker 2.0 is not coming out any time soon.
